The Department of Sociology at the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, has successfully hosted the third edition of its traditional student research event: "Research Project in Sociology" Presentations.
From Theory to Practice: A Comprehensive Academic Journey
For the past three years, this initiative has been a cornerstone of our curriculum, designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on experience in conducting scientific research. Throughout the Fall semester, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Tuba Duman and Res. Asst. Doğucan Bayram, our students navigated every stage of the academic research process:
-
Conceptualization: Selecting and defining original research topics.
-
Design: Constructing robust methodological frameworks.
-
Fieldwork: Engaging in primary data collection.
-
Analysis & Synthesis: Transforming raw data into academic findings and professional presentations.
14 Unique Research Projects
The event featured two comprehensive sessions—morning and afternoon—where students showcased a total of 14 diverse and insightful presentations. The sessions provided a vibrant academic forum, allowing students to present their findings to faculty members and peers, fostering a culture of intellectual debate and scholarly exchange.
Congratulations to Our Students
The ASBÜ Department of Sociology proudly congratulates each of our students for their hard work, dedication, and valuable contributions to the field. We wish them continued success in their future academic and professional endeavors.
