The June 2026 issue of the International Sociological Association Research Committee on Sociology of Childhood (RC53) newsletter—edited by Dr. Hamide Elif Üzümcü from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Social Sciences University of Ankara—has been published.

This issue includes the following contributions from our department:

• Dr. Hamide Elif Üzümcü contributed an interview conducted with Sue Palmer, a prominent figure in childhood studies.

• Sanem A. Dinler, a student of SOC422 Selected Topics in Sociology course, analyzed the digital game "God of War" through the lens of childhood studies (Page 14).

• Panashe Denhere, from the same course, shared a sociological analysis of the movie "The Woman King" (2022) (Page 17).
