As the Department of Sociology at Ankara Social Sciences University, we are proud to share the academic achievements of our recent graduates. Three of our alumni from the classes of 2024 and 2025 have been admitted to prestigious graduate programs in Turkey:
Dilara Fırat (Class of 2025) – MA in Migration Studies, TED University
Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz, faculty member of the Department of Sociology at Ankara Social Sciences University, shared his insights on the newly released Socioeconomic Status (SES) Index by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) in an interview with BBC Turkish.
A new book titled Migration Debates in Türkiye: Interdisciplinary and Empirical Approaches, edited by Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar — faculty member at ASBU Department of Sociology and Director of GAUM — has been published.
