The Orientation and Welcome Program organized by the Department of Sociology at the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU) for first-year students was held on 30 September 2026 at the Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall.

During the program, students were introduced to the department, the undergraduate curriculum, academic staff, and key academic processes. The presentation was followed by a Q&A and welcome session with the participation of faculty members.

Ozan Çetiner, Research Assistant in the Department of Sociology at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, presented his research at the 17th European Sociological Association (ESA) Conference, held in Warsaw from 25–28 August 2026.
