As part of the "Research on Suicide Cases in Ankara Province," conducted in collaboration with the Ankara Governor’s Office, the Department of Sociology at Ankara Social Sciences University held a focus group discussion with personnel from Social Service Centers affiliated with the Ankara Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Family and Social Services. The study is led by the Head of the Sociology Department, Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz, with support from Research Assistants Ceylin Özyurt and Ozan Çetiner.

During the meeting, the characteristics of suicide cases in different districts, their effects on family and social structures, example cases, and potential collaborations were discussed. Participants shared their experiences and exchanged information. The research will continue to be enriched with suicide statistics from Ankara province and qualitative data collected through various face-to-face interviews.
