During the first week of the 2024-2025 academic year, a meet-and-greet was held with first-year students as part of the Introduction to Sociology course. The department chair, Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Duman and research assistants Doğucan Bayram and Ozan Çetiner, attended the meeting and provided information about the department.

Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz discussed the structure of the courses, expectations from students, and the long-term goals of the department, while Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Duman provided insights into the school's Erasmus processes. Research assistants Doğucan Bayram and Ozan Çetiner listened to students' experiences with the application process, preparatory class, and career plans, offering their suggestions.
