The 11th National Sociology Congress, jointly organized by the Sociology Association and Bursa Uludağ University, was held between September 17–19, 2025, under the theme "Social Transformations and Possibilities: New Problematiques of Sociology." The congress brought together scholars and researchers from across Turkey to engage in critical discussions on evolving social dynamics.

Representing the Department of Sociology at Ankara Social Sciences University, Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz presented a paper during the session titled “Family Sociology I,” which took place on Wednesday, September 17, from 14:00 to 15:30 in room FEF-E225. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Canatan.

Prof. Dr. Yavuz’s presentation, titled "Profiles of Perceptions of Children in Turkey: A Hierarchical Cluster Analysis Based on the 2021 Turkey Family Structure Survey," explored societal understandings of children through a quantitative analysis. Using data from the 2021 Turkey Family Structure Survey conducted by TurkStat, the study applied hierarchical cluster analysis to identify diverse perception profiles. The findings offer unique insights into how family structures and values are shifting in contemporary Turkey.

Other presentations in the same session addressed topics such as the transformation of parenting culture in the digital age and redefinitions of fatherhood in the context of gender roles.
