The article co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Duman and Research Assistant Ceylin Özyurt from the Department of Sociology at Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU) has been published in the 2025 Volume 9, Issue 1 of İçtimaiyat. Titled Negotiations with Sharing, Volunteerism and Second-Hand Goods Use as a University Event in Türkiye: "Yeniden Kullan" Project, the study explores the “Reuse” initiative (Yeniden Kullan), held regularly at ASBU since 2017, through the lens of alternative consumption practices and a culture of sharing.

Using the Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) theory, the article examines the motivations, social dynamics, and environmental sensitivities of volunteer participants, emphasizing the potential of second-hand consumption to evolve into a new social norm. The research highlights how small-scale, university-based initiatives can contribute to sustainability and foster cultural transformation.
