Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar's new book chapter "Mixed Migration Flows into Turkey and the Impact of the Pandemic: Revisiting Social Exclusion and Persisting Inequalities" has been published in The Palgrave Handbook of Global Social Problems.
Sociology Seminar (2023 Spring Semester) was held online on 31 May 2023 with the title "The aftermath of the 6 February Earthquake in Turkey: Sociological Implications". Our students Özge Öznur, Ogün Yılmaz, Dilara Dönmez and Hasan Urcun, who conducted their studies within the scope of the “Project In Sociology II” course by Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar, made presentations regarding on their work. We congratulate our students who made presentations and thank our faculty members and students for their participation and valuable contributions.
Our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz and Faculty of Law Member Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Güllüoğlu Altun will make presentations and the 8 March International Women's Day Event organized by the Sociology and Research Student Society and the Law and Democracy Youth Student Community will take place on Thursday, March 10 at the Güvercinlik Hall from 14:00 to 17:00.
