Sociology Seminar (2023 Fall Semester) will be held on 26 December 2023 between 09:30 am - 12:30 pm at Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall. Having conducted their their studies within the scope of the “Research Project in Sociology” course by Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar, our students will make their presentations. The seminar is open to the participation of faculty members and students from all departments.
Our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz talked about the recent neighbor murders in Ankara in his interview with A Haber on November 28. In his statement, Prof. Dr. Sutay Yavuz emphasized the risks posed by individual armament and the need to take preventive measures in this regard. While discussing this event sociologically, he underlined that, the meaning of the house as a private space and the traditional understanding of the neighborhood culture has have changed especially after the pandemic.
